Reinventing Diane
I was a typical Type A personality, where I could go, go, go all through the day. I had a Marketing career, my dream house, and a nice family to go home to. When Fibromyalgia hit, I got fired... I lost my career and my dream house. So far, I still have a husband. I went through a mourning period for my old self... I was in denial, then angry... all the way to acceptance. I did research, learned about me and my illness, found resources and eventually started a support group for Fibromyalgia and chronic pain.
I've experimented through trial and error, to find the right combination of medicine, supplements, exercise, dietary changes, alternative medicine (massage, acupuncture, chiropractic medicine, and etc) and support to make my life livable.
I'm currently working part time as a pet sitter, running my super group since 2009 and enjoying my kids and grandkids.
