I was excited I was 13 weeks pregnant and due for my scan, I have been here 2 before and had 2 boys so thought all would be fine.
I always remember the moment the sonographer turned to me and asked "how many weeks are you supposed to be " 13 I said she told me there was only signs of a very early pregnancy. I was taken to another ward and was scanned again where they told me it was a molar pregnancy but I would have to wait 10 days to be rescanned. I was confused and in shock I had never heard of such a thing
I returned for the second scan hoping for a miracle but was told that there was no baby just a mass of grape like cysts. I returned for a d and c and was told I would hear from Charing Cross, as I would be registered with them. After 3 weeks it was confirmed that I had a complete molar pregnancy and would be monitored this was June I was monitored every 2 weeks and my levels were reducing until oct when they got stuck then went down and then started to increase on 24 nov I was admitted to Charing Cross to start methotrexate injections as I had persistent Gtd. I spent a week there and was then sent home to continue my treatment. I finished treatment in February and my levels are currently less then 2, finally I am starting g to feel like myself again. The treatment took it out of me and made me feel tired etc.
I now enjoy each day and hope that it will never return
