On the Brink of Death

IN JANUARY, 2013, two weeks to the day after receiving a flu vaccination, I was stricken. At that time, I was fifty-five years old. Guillain-Barre Syndrome and a varient, Miller-Fisher, hit me like a Mack truck. Once the symptoms began, it only took thirty-six hours to go from being independant and feeling good, to the brink of death. I could not walk, sit, stand, move my body or limbs, talk, swallow, close my eyes, and I was going down fast. (More to follow)
