GBS 2003

Dec 2, 2

I had gastric bypass in Aug 2002.  I traveled on a plane in Dec. Got a sinus infection. I was given Suprax that was to strong for my gastric tract that torn down my immune system. I got thrush in my mouth causing dehydration. Then got ulcerative cholitis. I was hospitalized was very weak. Anytime a dr stood at end of bed I would squint my dr asked why. I said I was seeing double. They had a neuro opthomologist come in  and examine me. Then a neurologist ordered spinal tap stat. I was sent to ICU and had blood plasma Pharisees. My blood pressure was very low. A priest was sent in and I was read my last rights. But I pulled thru. I had Miller c Fisher variant too. Went to rehab. Had extensive in home rehab. Then another round of out patient rehab. I was out of work 10 months   I'm back to work. Have very little side effects. Nerve damage to one leg. When I get sick it takes everything out of me. I get sick easily.
