Story about Lyme Disease .

My journey to recovery after being diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS/ME) in 2011

Dec 2, 2

It seems I was bitten by a tick, carrying the Borrelia bacteria, while walking the Lyke Wake walk* on the North Yorkshire Moors in 2010. After being diagnosed with chronic fatigue (CFS/ME) in 2011, I received a formal diagnosis of multiple intracellular bacterial infections from Dr. Cecile Jadin in South Africa, almost 4 years later in March 2014. I started to see an improvement after 9 months on her treatment plan and realised full recovery was possible. In August 2015, after 17 months on her treatment plan I returned to work part-time. I was booked of work in Jan 2012 when my brain fog became so debilitating that I could no longer read emails or manage spreadsheets. My brain no longer recognised words.
