A Nail-patella syndrome interview .

Alison's interview

How did all start?

Always been 'different'. Bent arms, curved spine, tiny kneecaps, underweight, widow's peak hairline, poor teeth, etc. All usual NPS symptoms. Father, sister and brother all similarly affected.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Only when my niece's child was born with club feet and was referred to a geneticist was the condition identified. I was then over 50.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

None.
