Question - Nutcracker syndrome
Is a colonoscopy or gastroscopy more dangerous when having a Nutcracker syndrome?
Hello everybody,
only recently I was diagnosed with the Nutcracker syndrome, so I am still in the beginning of my research about it. My next appointment to get information about the possibilities of vascular surgery will be in some weeks. As I am also having severe diagestion problems, another doctor proposed to do a colonoscopy and a gastroscopy (already before the examination in the hospital) to see whether there might be some other reason to those problemes. But I am wondering now whether the narcostic used for the examination and the fact that I'll have to fast for some time might have some negative effects on my kidneys. Do you have any experience with this kind of medical examination and possible side effects regarding the Nutcracker syndrome?

Hello, I have Nutcracker syndrome, may thurner and pelvic congestion. I have gone through 6 interventions already and I also have digestive issues so I had to do both a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. These procedures should not be a problem and are usually done when doctors are trying to rule things out. I had them done. I had nutcracker syndrome and eventually had kidney auto transplant to correct it.
I had no problems with these tests when I nutcracker.
