My Pain started in October 2016, I would work all day in the construction/excavating all day. When i came home in the evening and sat down the pain would slowly move into my arm, mid back and neck. This went on until late December 2016. About that time i went to the doctor, he gave me pain meds and i started PT, insurance required PT before they would do and MRI. The MRI showed severe arthritis and severe disc disease and bulging discs in my cervical area. My doctor sent me to a surgeon, i thought I would go to OSU and get their opinion. Around April 2017 the doctor (neurologist/nuro surgeon) did the office testing of sorts and said he doesn't think it is my spinal area causing my pain and he sent me for a nerve conduction test and it confirmed Parsonage turner syndrome. He said there isn't much to do other that wait and see if it gets better in maybe 6 months or so. My pain is still here off and on. I am back to work most of the time. My fingers still don't work correctly, hopefully the worst is over. The PAIN..... it was SO bad...... If if had not eased up i don't know what i would have done. Thank heavens my family doctor treated my pain with pain meds! For the most part I don't need the pain meds now. Today's date is October 8, 2017. I am really glad I didn't have an operation for the cervical problems that were not causing my problems and that i managed to find a great neurologist that had some knowledge of this rare disease.
