Steve Garcia-NY/NJ/ Tri State Area, Cordoba Argentina serves as the facilitator for the online support group “Carepartners whose loved one’s are in the advanced stages of PSP.” which meets every 4th Wednesday of each month.

In addition is a member of the Programs and Education Committee for curepsp.org.

My family and I first learned about PSP when my mother was correctly diagnosed by a neurologist in 2007. My father attended a local support group In New Brunswick NJ for PSP, CBD, and MSA where the support group leader told us about http://curepsp.org. Our family went to the 2011 family conference and met such a wonderful group of people from the staff to fellow families and loved one’s where I met Trish Caruana who told me about the online support groups.

Towards the end of my mothers fight with PSP in late 2013 the questions that we had were not being answered in the regular psp webinars which were in themselves quite helpful throughout our journey spanning 2003-2013. Thats where the idea came to create an online support group for the advanced stages of psp where the focus was that care partners who have lost loved ones and care partners who are looking for support in the end stages could exchange ideas, tips, and experiences.

My mother passed on August 13th 2013 in her hometown of Cordoba Argentina as she had wished.
