Bethanyjball's interview
How did all start?
I started with an intermittent hoarse voice and then it progressively became constant. Finally I sought help. The Dr. Got me a thyroid ultrasound and then a laryngoscopy. At the laryngoscopy it was discovered that I had growths on my vocal cords. Just over a month later I had a biopsy and was diagnosed with RRP.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
It only took me six weeks to get a diagnosis once I sought medical help.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
The surgeries with Avastin injections have been my most useful interventions.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
My biggest difficulties have been dealing with depression and anxiety associated with this disease.
