A Rosacea interview , Hashimotos Disease.

Stella's interview

How did all start?

It started when I was 19, at the end of high school when I had to decide what to do in my future. However my skin has always been very sensitive, dry, and flushed, since I was a child.

Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?

Yes, I had a right diagnosis only when I had acne rosacea when I was 22/23 years old. Before that, the doctor mistaked rosacea with couperose.

For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?

I have been correctly treated for acne rosacea. I have used many times antibiotics.

What have been your biggest difficulties?

Going out and meeting people having the face red and flushing, with painful pimples.

How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?

No, they never reacted. They were worries about my health.

What things have you stopped doing?

Hot bath, eating hot and spicy. I started to pay attention to not having important changing of temperature from outside to inside and viceversa. I try to reduce food with gluten and dairy product because I noticed that those elements improve my flush. Only sometimes I drink alcool.
