How did all start?
I woke up to a stroke before work one day. I couldn't get out of bed. My aunt and brother took me to the hospital. The doctors did a lot of scans and tests. The doctor had a suspicion I had some sort of disease and sent me to a bigger hospital. From there they did more scans and tests. I was then diagnosed with Takayasus Arteritis.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
yes, 3-4 days
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Medications, doctors, and family's support
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Having a disease that's not well known. It makes everything a lot of guess work.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Family and friends have stayed supportive. No relationships have been effected.
What things have you stopped doing?
Smoking cigarettes and being scared of talking to doctors.
What do you think about the future?
i beilieve there will be happiness and i'll get into remission. Future cases may be easier diagnosed and treated properly.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
the year i was diagnosed, surprisingly. i learned to be more healthy and medically aware for myself I'm happy

If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
it's complicated but I love it
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Don't give up! It'll all work out eventually.
