Story about Takayasus Arteritis , Hyperthyroidism.

My story

Dec 30, 2019

By: Debbie

Year Condition Began: 2017

In January 2017 I had an at home cardiac arrest. My son was able to initiate CPR & somehow I made it through... approx. 18 months later , during a PET scan I was diagnosed with giant cell vasculitis (Takyasau). I have two areas of inflammation being to my aorta at the abdomen (which is limiting the blood flow to the legs) & at the aortic arch ( which limits blood flow to the upper body). I have struggled to get the inflammation under control but am continuing to try. The left ventricle to the heart is now damaged, seeing me have I guess approx. 25% use of the heart. This does not make things easy !

I continue to maintain positive & am always looking for other ways to help myself!
