Total joint replacement

Feb 23, 2016

By: Lori

I began my journey over 25 years ago. I had my wisdom teeth removed and unfortunately my jaw was dislocated. My discs were anteriorly and posteriorly displaced causing dysfunction. My discs were removed and as a result I had bony ankylosis. I had to have bilateral total joint replacements but my left side had a biofilm and the left prosthesis was removed. That was 14 months ago. I have been on a PICC line 3 times in the last 14 months and am awaiting my new prosthesis to be manufactured. I will also undergo a Lefort I procedure due to additional damage.
