Tendon Infection

Year Condition Began: 2018

In February 2018, I was severely injured in a shattered shower glass glass door, which crashed on top of me and severed tendon that goes from the great toe (big toe) to heal. To make a very long story short, the first surgery to repair my tendon failed; second surgery inserting a cadaver tendon also failed. I wet to Mayo Clinic after that failed surgery and that surgeon saw obvious Mols infection . He then removed the cadaver tendon and all surrounding tissue looking for clean margins. He did not replace the tendon. This was done in November ,2018. All cultures and biopsy came back positive for suspected mild infection, Aspergillus Terreus. I was treated at Mayo Clinic center for diseases with twice daily verconizole for 3 months.
