When I was told I might have coeliac disease, I was no stranger to it. My dad had been diagnosed with it in his 40s.
Unfortunately, for my dad, things did not end well. He passed away at the age of 50 from a cancer caused by his disease.
6 years later and I get some bizarre symptoms. . Back ache, pains in the sides of my stomach, a bad tummy. I'm told it's a possibility I am also coeliac. I was devastated and scared at the time because of my dad's experience. But. . They confirmed it, I started eating gluten free and feeling better and I feel confident now that I will be alright.
My best advice to people is to be strict no matter what. .it's not worth the risk. The risk is very real, I have seen it xx
