Relief at last

I should imagine that my story is quite a common one, years and years of suffering with IBS symptoms. Many trips to different doctors that bought no relief and trying different remedies that also didn't help. Things got progressively worse until in desperation I went to see a GP again. This was a new one and after listening to my list of symptoms her words were, "it could be coeliac disease".
Blood test came back positive so that was followed by a biopsy and the consultant confirmed it as coeliac disease. Since then I've followed the diet religiously and the symptoms have abated.
There have been hiccups, I've discovered that I can't tolerate oats or soya and there have been accidental glutening but life is much better.
