How did all start?
Plantar fasciitis surgery
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Was diagnosed in 2002 and it took about 4 months.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Pt, medicine, SCS, sympathetic blocks
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
SCS, medicine
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Since it's in my feet and legs, walking is excruciating.
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
My husband, mother and daughter are very supportive.
What things have you stopped doing?
I no longer work. That was the hardest thing to give up.
What do you think about the future?
I pray for a cure. If not soon, at least better treatments.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
My early 20 were wonderful. I traveled and loved it.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Before getting crps I ran. I would love to be able to to that again.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
Endless pain with enough love sprinkled in to make things bearable.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Be your own best advocate. Don't let someone make you feel like what you are going thru is in your head.
