How did all start?
Broke my foot in September of 2012
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
It took 5 years and 7 doctors
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Sorry I haven’t found much that helps, I have an SCS in my back and does some to help. Considering a DRG stimulator, the studies look promising
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Getting a proper diagnosis
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
I don’t attend or stay at social events like I used to. Too painful to be on my feet
What things have you stopped doing?
I have stopped walking my wife and it’s hard to do yard work.
What do you think about the future?
Don’t know, if the DRG stimulator doesn’t work I might push my dr to amputate
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
25 thru 44, started dating my now wife and we have a 12 year old. If it wasn’t for them, I’m not sure I’d be here right now.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Sit on a beach, walk the Appalachian trail, go fishing on the weekends
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Find a reason to power thru this and fight fight fight
