Hi, I have suffered with CRPS for 13years. I was 16yrs old and it first started in my left hand when (I'm also left handed) after being hit by a cyclist into a bus, the bus wheel hit into my wrist almost going over it twice (long story)! 6 years ago it travelled to almost every part of my body so I find hard to walk and rely on my family to go out as I can only travel by car! I suffer with post traumatic stress disorder because of the accident!!! I am waiting to go in to St. Thomas' hospital in London on a 4 week pain management course to help me cope with the pain, I have tried every tablet available to me but none have worked, I am on 2 cocodamol 30/500mg four times a day, gabapentin 800mg three times a day, amitripline 50mg at night. In 2009 just before it spread I was sent on the 2 weeks input course to get me ready for the spinal cord stimulator but after I finished the 2 weeks I had an appointment with my consultant to arrange the op but I got more bad news instead, I have low blood platelets so I would "bleed to death or be paralysed for life" his words! Since the pain has travelled I have begged for the op, yes I know it is selfish but i would take any chance for even a little bit of pain relief. I was also on pregabalin 5 years ago, they didn't help they just made me go from size 8 to a size 16 in less than 4 months, I really wouldn't have minded if they helped the pain, when i came off them i became ill being sick everyday for 8 months and I have only started to feel myself 1 1/2 years ago, well as good as I can with CRPS! My pain is getting worse and I'm copying as best as I can. I also have depression. I also have a vitamin B12 & D3 deficiency. I also suffer with acid reflux and I'm on omeprazole
