Story about Dupuytrens Contracture .

Slow tissue nodule growth in left palm

Sep 10, 2017

By: Jim

Year Condition Began: 2016

i was playing guitar late last year and i found my left palm with a lump at the area of the knuckle joint of the ring finger. My hand palm was throbbing, itchy at times.

Since then to now (September 2017) the small nodule became a hard lump under the fascia of the palm and a fibrous cord has grown from the nodule to the wrist end of the palm and up towards the ring finger

I have painful frozen shoulder, especially at night causing interrupted sleep. My feet ache, pins & needles in the effected fingers also at night. Daytime is much better

The left ring finger has a slight contracture and stiffness in 6 months.

I was diagnosed by my doctor in January 2017

I have undertaken Radiation Therapy in June 2017 - no immediate obvious benefit but may be a slowing of growth. A second RT session sis recommended after 3 - 4 months.

I had stopped guitar playing - mainly psychological than due to any physical restriction or pain

May look at enzyme treatment Xiaflex after second RT session

Must keep playing the guitar! Keep researching!
