How did all start?
It started at birth. Dawud was not tolerating feeds was vomiting everytime we fed him. It was green.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
We are from Maldives, doctors didn't know what was wrong so we went to Sri Lanka , Dawud was diagnosed at 8 days old.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
At 9 days old he had his first ileostomy At 7 months closed ileostomy At 4 yrs did adhesion removal surgery At 6 yrs did ileostomy again as his intestine was dialated At 6 yrs (after 6 months) closed ileostomy
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Ileostomy Irrigation Probiotics
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Intestinal distension Pain
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
It hasn't changed everyone is very helpful
What things have you stopped doing?
Eating too much sugary things.
What do you think about the future?
In Shaa Allah Dawud is going to be an inventor he says.
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
2016 enjoyed life with family
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Eat alot of cake and junk food.
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
I know Allah loves me that's why I got this test. But I just want the pain to go away.
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Hang in there we will overcome this in Shaa Allah.
