My Moyamoya a life changer

Happy married with 2 great teen sons, with a good job for the city, my life forever will be change in January 2003. I woke up and I had troubles talking, but insisted to go to work because payroll was due that Monday morning and I needed to process it. I had my husband take me to work because I knew I could not drive, I went in try to do my job but it was not possible, so i did payroll and called my husband back to take me to the ER. At the ER the doctor diagnosed me with a stroke and admitted me into the hospital and then it began all the test from left to right and all in between, my neurologist could not understand why did I have a stroke after all I was a young 40 years old woman in good health, my doctor keep asking me questions, invited others neurological doctors to get their opinion talked To neurosurgeons, brought my case to their weekly meeting, 5 days later after all the opinions and conferences he called my family to a meeting in my hospital room to give us the diagnosis, he said you-have a syndrome called Moyamoya, one of sons said Moya Who? Never heard of it he said. Then the doctors proceed to explain to us what it was and pretty much starting making plans for my first brain surgery, years later I had my second brain surgery. Here I am 4 years after my second brain surgery a grandmother of twin and a girl on her way, leaving a very peaceful life with a mother that loves and a husband that adores me, taking all my medication on time and leaving my days thanksfull for another day.
