A Multiple Chemical Sensitivity story

Since my story is very complex, I'll use short statements for what happened in chronological order.

- Born with some nutritional deficiencies (affecting folate conversions and so forth), have always struggled with exercise-induced fatigue and under-powered immune system. As a child I suffered nearly constantly with ear infections and other infection-caused illness.

- Antibiotic treatment at a young age probably caused gut flora imbalances.

- Tonsils removed at a young age, there went part of my immune system.

- Became conscious of pesticide levels in food in mid-twenties, shifted to organic-food diet but still some processed food and lots of sugar.

- In early thirties, too busy with career development for regular fitness workouts, health declined. I had severe eczema, very low energy, was sick much of the time.

- I realized the role sugar played in body imbalances, transitioned to whole-foods diet low in sugar and starch.

- In 2007 I was recovering somewhat, but then my apartment became very moldy due to a water from a neighbor's bathroom. At this point I became environmentally-sensitive: strong reactions to indoor mold, dust mites, many synthetics. I have not since been able to sleep around these things except when quantities are minute.

- In 2016 I found via genetic testing about the inherited tendency for impaired folate conversions and other nutritional problems. This explained the weak immune system, fatigue after short periods of exercise, high evening cortisol, systemic inflammation, and all the other issues stemming from the nutrient shortages/imbalances.

- I'm making some progress treating with synthetic vitamins (such as forms of folate and B12 typically created in the body's cells), specific amounts of exercise, very careful dieting, lots of sun exposure, vitamin D and other supplements, and some medicinal products such as immune-boosting herbal formulas.
