When I found out and how people dealt with it

I was three years old and walking with my mother by a flower bed when my mother stopped and said, "Don't the flowers smell pretty?". I took a big sniff -- I knew what smelling looked like from watching Tom & Jerry--but nothing came. It was blank. That's when I first realized something odd. Over the years I tried to tell my parents, but they wouldn't accept it; they thought I was joking. I gave up trying to tell them by the time I was ten.

Of course I told my school friends and they found it amazing--they often "tested" to see if I was telling the truth by simultaneously silently farting in cars with the windows rolled up. Of course I didn't even notice. Soon we all had a good laugh because they were the ones who had to suffer the farts, then roll down the windows in a hurry, gasping for clean air! He he... Actually, there were several people that tried this over the years, and it certainly seemed to amuse them more than me! Do people secretly enjoy smelling each other's fasts? (I will never really know!).

Now I'm much older and only my closest friends know about it. The main reason for telling them is during the summer I have no idea how badly (or not) my sweat is affecting the air. :) So, I ask them to be honest with me. Initially, they feel awkward telling me if I 'stink' --it seems rude to them. So, I use this strategy: "Would you knowingly let a blind man walk into a walll? No, right? --it's basically the same situation with me. So, just tell me. It's important that I know if I need to change my shirt, of if I should go take another shower."

Oddly, I enjoy whisky sipping--but beer is rather boring.
Tea is just hot water, but relaxing nevertheless.
