I use only over-the-counter pain meds and I have come tyo a point where I am usually okay with these weaker drugs. I rather live with most pain and feel in control of my body.

I am one of the blessed ones that is able to live with out having the chari removed.
Deep breathing. Seriously. It can be easy to become frustraited when symptoms start popping up. If I focus on the symptoms, it exasperates them. Deep, calming breathes help enough to get me through the moment.
