Ongoing problems

Year Condition Began: 2009

I was diagnosed with UCD in 2009 and had a large mesenteric mass removed along with a right hemi colectomy. I have had quite a few complications following, ie incisional hernias, bowel adhesions and bile acid malabsorption . Even though I am told that the surgery is curative, although they cannot guarantee this, I do seem to still have some symptoms, such as the night sweats, fatigue and I seem to have problems with my immune system. It takes me ages to "shake off" any kind of illness. I was wondering if, long term, CD does still have an impact on the immune system? Will it always? Very little is known about the disease so when I ask my doctor they don't really have an answer.
