i was a pretty normal happy healthy lady in early 2014 and if someone would of told me that was about to change i would of said no way. but life has a funny way of kicking your butt good and hard when you least expect it.in june of 2014 in middle of night i woke up screaming crying from a headache was taken to the er room at the local hospital given enough morphine to drop 4 elaphants as the er doctor put it and sent home told to see a neuro right away mri and cat scan both done that night.i met my doctor the next day and he ordered a spinal tap and another mri and eye exam the spinal tap diagnosed me as did the eye exam confirming optical nerve swelling my opening pressure was 47 very high so it was explained to me there is no cure life long meds or surgery to manage it they did not discuss how much crap you would feel like everyday and this was also on top of hyperthyroidism it is a life changing illness that does not go away but you can choose how you live and not let this disease kick your butt fight it with everything you have cry when you have to and plow through when you must never give up hope love or laughter ever
