How did all start?
I was having pain in my left breast when my new grandson would snuggle in.
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
Yes I was diagnosed soon after the discovery of a lump.
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Breast surgeon.
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
The closed group in Facebook for Phyllodes.
What have been your biggest difficulties?
The unknown and the lack of information
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
I am more stressed and have a lot more anxiety
What things have you stopped doing?
Really it has financially changed our life because of medical bills
What do you think about the future?
I am afraid and uncertain
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
I don't think I have had any.
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Hopefully be able to sleep again and get a little more financially secure
If you had to describe your life in a sentence, what would it be?
I have spent my life taking care of others
Finally, what advice would you give to a person in a similar situation?
Make sure you and your physicians are all thinking alike and if not get a new one
