High grade malignant phyllodes

Year Condition Began: 2019

I found a breast lump in October 2019. Biopsies showed it could be phyllodes but I was told that it was extremely unlikely to be cancerous. Excision biopsy showed it was malignant phyllodes so they needed to get wider margins but they said that it was extremely unlikely to spread so no need for scans to check for metastasis. I made contact with someone on Macmillan website who advised me to go to a sarcoma specialist at the Royal Marsden in London. They explained that my tumour had high risk features so there was a 40% chance of it spreading and have arranged regular CT scans for me since my margin surgery (lumpectomy) in January. I wanted a mastectomy but they told me it made no difference to the risk of spread. All scans have been clear so far. Trusting God that they will stay that way!
