Story about Sarcoidosis .

Nerosarcoid

Feb 1, 2016

By: June

I had been complaing about headaches for a year. In September of 2013 my life completely changed. I had a seizure and ended up in the hospital. They didn't know what it was but found a tumor like thing on my brain after an MRI. I ended up having a biopsy done to see if it was cancer. The results came back with no cancer but I didn't have any answers. They put me on steroids and the mass shrunk. When they took me off the steroids it grew again. I went back in for another biopsy in January. So twice in less then a year I had my head cut open. After that biopsy came back they sent me to infection control specialist and then finally to a rheumatologist were they decided that I had Nerosarcoid which is rare. They put me on a therapeutic dosage of steroids for almost a year and half and then put me on plaquinil. I get to take this for at least the next 5 years of my life. It's been a long road.
