Year Condition Began: 2009

I just retired from teaching in 2009. Routine labs( requested by me) showed a high level of protein. Further labs and a bone marrow biopsy = WM. In January of 2010 I had four Rituxin treatments. In 2013 my levels were high enough to be in a clinical trial at Northerstern Hospital in Chicago( October). In January of 2014 my white count was low and I had pneumonia/ H1N1 despite the vaccines. I was on a respirator for seventeen days, but I survived. In 2015 my levels were high enough for treatment of Bendamustine and Rituxin for six months, but for three of the months I had a reaction to Rituxin so I received only Benda/Neulasta. I had to get three Rituxin treatments using a very slow drip. So far I am stable and enjoying life. I feel energetic and can't tell I even have a problem.
