Story about Intracranial Hypertension .

Relasp and recovery

Aug 15, 2017

I was diagnosed in 2001. Became "stable" in 2003. Since then I have had 3 short relaps lasting less then a year each and was brought back into a stable condition thru LP and diomox. My most recent relaps in April has been the worst, not responding to medication therapy, LP, etc. I had a Stent placed in the right transverse sinus in May. Recovery from that has been slow and I am still unsure if it was helpful. We will be trying to put 2 stents in the left side soon. If this fails a shunt will be my next step.
