Story about Multiple Systems Atrophy .

MSA-C

Mar 15, 2016

By: Alan S.

I have what has been diagnosed as probably MSA-C.  In August 2015, we went to the Houston Methodist Neurological Institute where I had extensive tests and consultations with Department of Neurology Chair Dr. Stanley Appel and his team. Dr. Appel also feels like I probably have MSA-C. My main doctors are now at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where they have a relatively new MSA unit. My problems right now are mostly with gait and balance and speech but they are getting worse. I can walk only with a walker now.
