Baby, I was born this way

Jun 9, 2017

Hello!

I'm writing on behalf of my daughter, Alyvia, who was diagnosed with severe MAS at a month old and severe PFD (confirmed) at 6 months old due to first 2 fractures. It affects every bone. So far, in her short 4 years of life, she's had 20 bone fractures and has been in any and all types of casts or splints. She also has magnetic rods in her spine due to the FD causing early onset scoliosis. The original plan was to also put rods in both femurs and tibia's, as she cannot weight bare without fracturing and is wheelchair dependent, however that is no longer possible due to the deterioration of her legs. She does have some pain associated with it and I'm counting my lucky stars so far that only bisphosphonate infusions and mild pain medication has been enough. She's a beautiful little girl that's always happy and smiling. My goal as her mom, is to keep it that way ❤️
