i had 9 months of broncitis straight including many hospitalizations. my internist (who is a great diagnosing diseases) brought in a neurologist who specialized in myasthenia gravis. i was very weak but sero-negative. in his office he did a tensilon test and emg. both of those showed that i had myasthenia gravis. a year later i had a thymectomy (no tumor).
life changed, at the beginning i was weak and used a walker. that is better.
i nap for 2-3 hours every day which renews me. my lungs are my weak area. i developed asthma.
now i have asthma, osteoprosis, and diabetes (type II).
but i hold my head high when i can and my husband recognizes my limitations before i do.
