How did all start?
Taking modafinil
Do you already have a diagnosis? How long did it take you to get it?
A visit to the ER and the head doctor said it was just an allergic reaction but after going to a very good doctor they diagnosed me with sjs
For what medical specialties have you been treated? What has been the most useful specialty for your?
Avoiding all the things known to cause a reaction
What has been the most useful thing for you so far?
Only taking small doses of ibuprofen when needed and switching medicine
What have been your biggest difficulties?
Not being able to take over 300 different medications/ almost needing to be hospitalized my first reaction
How has your social and family environment reacted? Have your social or family relationships changed?
Everyone I'm with knows that if I have to take medicine/ be sent to the hospital that I have sjs
What things have you stopped doing?
Stopped taking modafinil and any other medicine known to cause sjs
What do you think about the future?
Now that I know what I have I don't have to worry about almost dying
So far, which years have been the best years in your life? What have you done during them?
Last year, I was officially diagnosed with sjs and narcolepsy and it's such a relief to know what I'm facing
What would you like to do if you didn’t have your condition?
Not have to worry when prescribed a medication if I'm going to have an allergic reaction
